Who invented the clock and how did people tell time in ancient Egypt, particularly at night? Foy Scalf, Ph.D., from the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, discusses methods of ancient time-keeping and how it relates to the Egyptian’s conception of knowledge.

This event will now be held online using Zoom. To participate, all you need is a device (desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone) with a camera, microphone and an internet connection. Or, if you don't have a device, you can call into the event with your phone.
