Nearly a quarter of American soldiers sent to fight in Europe in 1918 were foreign-born. Author Geoffrey Wawro will discuss the experiences of hyphenated Americans during World War I.
Geoffrey Wawro is a professor of history and director of the Military History Center at the University of North Texas and the author of six books, including A Mad Catastrophe: The Outbreak of World War I and the Collapse of the Habsburg Empire. Wawro lives in Dallas, Texas.
