Mexican Art in the Park

Several local artists will display their original art over Father’s Day weekend. View and shop the creative contemporary work of Pat Nunez   and Christopher Lucero (pictured above). In addition, students from West Chicago’s Leman Middle School will showcase creations that celebrate their Mexican heritage.

Art is also on display Sunday June 20. On Saturday only at 10 am, D33 Ballet Folklorico, Lemam Middle School Group will perform in front of the Visitor Center.  Their mission as a student organization is to promote and share our community’s Mexican heritage, culture, and history through dance and music. The ballet folklórico serves as a motivation to our students to stay in school, to excel in their academics, and to be involved with their community.
